New antenna delivers web connectivity 10 miles from shore

Glomex Antenna

Feb 21, 2022

Whether getting the latest fishing update or simply posting a selfie, onboard Internet connectivity has never been more important. With the new weBBoat® Link IT1304/US antenna from Glomex, it’s easy to get 4G Wi-Fi web access up to 10 miles from shore.

WeBBoat Link is a single SIM system. Beyond the powerful 42 Mbps download Wi-Fi signal it provides, it has two Ethernet ports to connect onboard systems and PCs to the Internet. A video is at www.bit.ly/WeBBoatLink.

Multiple mixed connection methods allow the combination of satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi or any fixed-line service into a single onboard Internet system. As the boat moves away from the marina’s Wi-Fi signal, weBBoat Link automatically switches to a cellular signal. This allows for seamless connectivity.

A true plug-and-play device, weBBoat Link requires minimal setup and has automatic APN for faster and easier configuration. It uses the free Glomex Android or iOS app for easy control. Plus, it’s the only Internet antenna on the market with encrypted peer-to-peer connection. This provides remote installation and service assistance to technicians and customers from Glomex personnel.

WeBBoat Link installs discretely inside the boat so there isn’t an external antenna to spoil the lines of the boat nor extensive wiring. And while it’ll be mounted in a protected space, the robust marinized device is IP56-rated. It requires a 12/24V power supply. The Glomex weBBoat® Link IT1304/US costs $849 USD.
