Yamaha Financial Services is pleased to announce the first-ever Stay Outdoors Program grant recipients. Almost $100,000 will be distributed to five not-for-profit organizations from across the country in support of their conservation, education, access and/or sustainable use initiatives.
“We are truly excited to be involved on the ground, supporting innovative, impactful projects addressing issues facing motorized outdoor recreation across Canada,” said James Matthews, Vice President of Yamaha Financial Services. “These groups are working diligently to ensure enthusiasts can enjoy all this country has to offer now and for years to come. We are honoured to be a part of that.”
The grants for 2022 have been awarded to five applicants:
• East Prince Quad Trax ATV Club (PEI) – building a sustainable multi-use trail on one of the original settlement roads of PEI with an environmental approach.
• Elk Valley Adventure & Dirt Riders Society (BC) – restoring/enhancing 12 kilometres of family- friendly motorized single-track trails.
• Victoria Beach Snow Drifters (MB) – moving trail system to Crown and RM of Alexander land to ensure a safe, maintained trail for all riders.
• Fundy Trail Snowmobile Club (NS) – repairing all-season, multi-use (motorized and non- motorized) trail, providing access to fuel and food.
• Avalon T’Railway Corporation (NL) – distributing ATV-related safety equipment to schools, groups and enthusiasts in co-operation with the RCMP.
The 2023 Stay Outdoors grant program will open in early Summer. Clubs, associations and other eligible groups are encouraged to work together with their local Yamaha dealer to identify projects and apply for support.
