Dockmate expands on existing OEM relationships with greater compatibility with Glendinning controls

Dockmate with Glendinning Controls

July 10, 2023

Dockmate, manufacturer of advanced wireless remote controls for yachts, announced the expansion of its already deeply established ties with OEM engine and thruster control systems, by developing greater compatibility with Glendinning controls.

Building on its already-successful partnerships with a host of major engine and thruster control manufacturers, Dockmate has worked in tandem with Glendinning to cleanly connect with their complete range of products including ProGrade, Genesys and ProPilot Joystick. This drives Dockmate further towards its ultimate goal of providing full “plug-and-play” functionality by seamlessly connecting its wireless remotes with the most common engines and thrusters. Through these connections, Dockmate allows boaters to be in complete control of their boat’s movement from anywhere on board, away from the helm and with limited visibility.

“In the realm of thruster maneuvering solutions available to boaters, names like Glendinning are the gold standard for innovation, quality and durability,” said Dirk Illegems, president, Dockmate. “By offering seamless integration through our cooperative product development, Dockmate’s solutions offer their customers incredible versatility. We are confident that this will make the boating experience more enjoyable by giving boaters even more control over their vessel in challenging situations.”

“Through our long partnership, the Dockmate team has demonstrated a deep understanding of the capabilities of our products and how to put that functionality to the best use,” said John Glendinning, president, Glendinning. “Their remote docking system is intuitive and customizable and we know that our customers will make great use of the extra level of confidence that these systems provide.”
