MacDonald Turkey Point Marina Presented a Cheque for $24,350 to the London Children’s Health Foundation

On behalf of the Thomson Family, Julie and I would like to THANK YOU for an incredible fundraising year. On Friday, October 23rd, 2026, Brad Thomson, General Manager of MacDonald Turkey Point Marina presented a cheque for $24,350.00 to Jennifer Baxter of the London Children’s Health Foundation. Also, on hand for the cheque presentation was MPP Bobbi Ann Brady, Dan Demeester, Julie Thomson, representative from MP Leslyn Lewis’ office Melissa Lowshaw and Norfolk County Councillor Chris Van Paassen. Our 2026 fundraising season came to a close in September following our 26th annual Bass Tournament. This year’s fundraising events of Concerts in the Park and Bass Tournament contributed to this amazing $24,350 donation. These events along with the Turkey Point Santa Clause parade and visits bring the Thomson Family 26-year fundraising total to $308,426.71. WOW!! The London Children’s Hospital cares for more than 1,300 children from Norfolk and Oxford County each year.
