NOMINATE YOUR CANADIAN SAFE BOATING HERO FOR A CASBA AWARD

Canada, with its abundance of lakes and rivers has an extremely rich recreational boating heritage. That this activity is enjoyed safely by millions of Canadians and visitors each year is due in great part to the efforts of boating enthusiasts and experts alike. The CASBA Gala and dinner is hosted in January and recognizes the efforts of the public, volunteers, professionals, agencies and organizations who have distinguished themselves in the fields of boating safety and environmental stewardship. Winners are selected in a number of categories. What makes the CASBAs so very special is that the winners are chosen based on nominations provided by boating enthusiasts… just like you.

Attached is the nomination form for the Canadian Safe Boating Council’s Canadian Safe Boating Awards (CASBA). To nominate someone, please fill out the form and send it back to CASBA@CSBC.CA. ;Nominations are due by October 10th, 2019.

The 22nd CASBA Gala will be a special evening. Spend an evening with colleagues and friends as we recognize those whose have risen to the challenge of making boating a better experience for all. Each CASBA event has shared amazing stories of bravery, innovation, passion and dedication.

The Awards Ceremony this year is at the National Yacht Club, in Toronto and the price to attend is $50. All the information can be found here.

Duncan Peacock, resident of Kitimat BC and member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63, has been awarded the 12th annual Tim Jones Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Outdoor Community in British Columbia.

Peacock has been a member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63 for 31 years, making him one of the longest-serving members in the province.
