Multi Sim InstrumentsAgile Interoperable Solutions (AIS) kicked off its marine availability at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in late 2018. Their products work in Canada as well the U.S.A. and internationally.

Agile Interoperable Solutions(AIS) is a provider of interoperable, unified command and control communications solutions that enable public and private organizations to achieve seamless connectivity in the most challenging environments. The creation of Agile Marine Solutions feature technologies that resolve issues related to congested marine Wi-Fi, spotty cellular connections or no connections whatsoever when cruising or offshore.

“Our goal is to create integrative communications technologies capable of operating in any environment and to increase the carrier flexibility, speed, range and lower the cost of communications overall,” said CEO Vernon Guillermo. “Agile Marine Solutions will be able to meet the most demanding marine communications requirements. That’s why we are offering the 16, 4 & 2 SIM card options that we believe are as competitive a line of communications tools available and cover the needs of most boaters/yachtsmen no matter who their current cellular carriers are. Our technology offers the ability to conveniently and seamlessly switch from LTE to satellite and back, we call it smart routing, and will cover a range of up to 25 miles offshore before automatic smart routing to satellite. Together, we believe we offer the most comprehensive systems in the market.”

The Marine CORE unit is an LTE communications solution for yachts and ships that reduces satellite costs and provides a bigger internet connection when near shore. Marine CORE has sophisticated software onboard to manage cell tower hand-offs as you move to maximize signal strength and the ability to automatically search for the best throughput connection available. The bonded LTE aggregates all cellular connections to maintain session persistence even if one or more cell connects drop due to the vessel travelling out of range. The LMR extension functions in the background to detect loss of service to the trunked radio network and send the transmission over the VPN secure LTE connection. This requires no action by the operator. The unit is housed in a billet milled aluminum case for marine, mobile and portable applications making it perhaps the most flexible option available today. U.S. units start with an MSRP of $2,995 USD for the pared-down version of the Marine CORE featuring a 2 SIM card configuration without the embedded satellite smart routing technology but with the same portable flexibility.
