New Life for Fiberglass Finishes

Fiberglass Finishes

Mar 25, 2025

Restoring old and tired fiberglass gelcoat is typically a multi-step process requiring multiple products—and a lot of time and hard work. Fiberglass Reconditioner from Iosso is a single-step product that quickly renews chalky, faded fibreglass finishes. Easy to use, it renews the deep, original colour and adds a high gloss shine without waxing.

Fiberglass Reconditioner provides long-lasting protection for up to six months. It doesn’t contain silicone, so there’s never an issue if total refinishing is planned. Unlike some products, it doesn’t stop with gelcoat. It removes waterline stains, and minor surface scratches and rust. It’s the perfect solution for getting rid of vehicle exhaust stains, oil and road tar.

It’s simple to use Iosso Fiberglass Reconditioner. In an overlapping pattern, it’s applied with a brush or soft cloth in 2′ to 3′ sections. Then, it’s worked into the surface until the haze is gone; an electric polisher or buffer speeds up the process. A video is at bit.ly/2y1i0m8.

The newly-relabeled Iosso Fiberglass Reconditioner is exceptionally effective. A one-pound jar cleans a 30′ boat from the waterline to the deck or a similarly-sized travel trailer. It’s also available in five-pound and five-gallon containers, making it ideal for pro detailers who need to bring a surface from old and tired to showroom quality in the shortest amount of time.
