Marinemax Vacations Partners With European Locaboat Holidays

MarineMax Vacations has announced that it is expanding its current range of services from sailing and power charter yacht vacations in the Caribbean to now include inland waterway vacations in Europe provided by Locaboat Holidays. MarineMax Vacations will sell the European cruising experience to Americans.

“Locaboat, through their 35 years in operation, has an unrivalled reputation for quality and service, making them a natural partner for MarineMax Vacations,” said Lex Raas, President of MarineMax Vacations.

Locaboat Holidays offers clients the ability to captain their own boat in six destination countries in Europe including France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Ireland and Poland. The yachts sleep between 4 and 12 people and allow vacationers to enjoy some of the best experiences that Europe has to offer.

“MarineMax Vacations is a logical partner in North America for Locaboat Holidays. MarineMax shares our passion and drive to deliver a premium and hassle free holiday,” said Claire Perraud-Charousset, responsible for Commercial and Marketing for Locaboat in France.

Locaboat and the “Penichette”, the unique and highly popular boat that is styled on the original commercial barges once so common on the waterways of Europe, have become synonymous with all that is very best in European canal holidays. For a more modern look, there is the “Europa” line.  Both the “Penichette” and “Europa” lines are well equipped, offering bow thrusters, multimedia capabilities, electric toilets, refrigerator, 4 burner cooker and more.

“We are very excited to have partnered with Locaboat Holidays with more than 200 cruise itineraries on the most beautiful canals, rivers and lakes in Europe,” said Raul Bermudez – Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MarineMax Vacations. “These European luxury river vacations are affordable, and a unique vacation experience. Some people describe the experience as luxury RV vacation along the rivers and canals of Europe.”

MarineMax Vacations already operates a charter fleet of new Dufour 41 and 43 foot sailing yachts in the British Virgin Islands. MarineMax Vacations recently announced the addition of the new MarineMax 382 power catamarans available for charter in the BVI’s July 2012 and also the new MarineMax 464 power catamarans, available for charter vacations January 2013
