West Marine Names Navico as Vendor of the Year For Second Year in a Row

Navico — a world leader in recreational marine electronics and parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brands — announced today that it has been awarded the West Marine Vendor of the Year Award for the second year in a row. Presented at the company’s 2012 Annual VIV (Very Important Vendor) Conference, West Marine awarded Navico the top honor for consistent excellence in collaboration, product quality, sales growth and excellent customer service.

“We are truly honored that West Marine has recognized us as Vendor of the Year for the second year running,” said Louis Chemi, chief operating officer, Navico Americas. “This award is a testament to our strides in product development, unparalleled support, unmatched warranty programs and, most importantly, one of the best and hardest working teams in the industry.”

Navico Sales Manager Steve Hamber was also, once again, presented with the Sales Representative of the Year award. “With responsibility for managing the relationship with West Marine, Hamber’s passion and dedication for customer service is a shining example of Navico’s commitment to our resellers,” continued Chemi. “We thank him for all of his hard work and commitment!”

Headquartered in Watsonville, California, West Marine is the largest specialty retailer of boating supplies and accessories with more than 300 company-owned stores located in 38 states, Puerto Rico and Canada, and five franchise stores in Turkey.
