TED DALLIMORE OF SANDY COVE MARINE WILL BE MISSED

Ted Dallimore

On behalf of the Canadian Boating community Boating Industry Canada would like to extend its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Ted Dallimore, founding owner of Sandy Cove Marine in Innisfil, who passed away on Friday October 30, 2015.

Andy Adams

Ted Dallimore was one of Ontario’s most progressive thinkers in the marine industry, often coming up with innovative ideas. He was well known to the industry and his business, Sandy Cove Marine was solidly successful, year after year during his long career. His parents had a waterfront store at Sandy Cove on Lake Simcoe and Ted began his career by going to “Merc” school out of high school. He started with a small shed and a few outboards at his parents property, but soon decided that it would be better to be located on the highway. His first property was on the 25th Sideroad near Sandy Cove and he progressed through a series of boat brands over the decades, but always remained close to Mercury Marine. The business eventually moved to a very high-traffic location at the Innisfil Road and Highway 400 where Ted carried on a successful business for many years.
His wisdom and sense of humour will be missed by his many friends and acquaintances.

The family will receive friends at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, (Stroud) on Tuesday November 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 4th at 3 PM.
