Recreational Boating

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) has released the latest edition of its Recreational Boating Industry Statistics.

ICOMIA’s statistics are used extensively within the industry, especially by those interested in investing or seeking to work within certain sectors.

This year, ICOMIA has improved its data collection processes, reviewed data categories and clarified the explanatory notes – resulting in more reliable and consistent statistics. Plus for the first time the Statistics Book includes an overview of boat/boat-trailer registrations, outboard motor imports and diesel engine sales in New Zealand and for the Australian States of Queensland and New South Wales for 2005-2014. Provided by ICOMIA member, the New Zealand Marine Industry Association (NZ Marine), this on-going research into specific sectors of the New Zealand and Australian marine industries creates comparisons and identifies trends to assist with business planning.

ICOMIA also offers subscribers the raw-data Excel spreadsheets, to assist those carrying out more detailed research.
