NEW BC MARINA BENEFITS FROM HIGH-SPEED BOAT LIFTS

Situated 240 miles northeast of Vancouver is scenic Okanagan Lake and Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel and Villas, of Kelowna, British Columbia. The luxury facility recently replaced its marina, tripling space for guests and a neighboring new, upscale condominium development. ShoreStation Hydraulic Boat Lifts serve as a crowning jewel of the project, offering marina customers protection for their vessels, and enhancing the appeal of the facility.

Local contractor Shoreline Pile Driving installed 54 ShoreStation lifts at the new marina, ranging from 6,000-8,000 lb. capacities. In addition to enhancing Manteo Resort’s experience for customers, each new condominium at The Lakeshore at Manteo development includes a slip with a ShoreStation Hydraulic Boat Lift. Shoreline reports that this benefit recently helped close a condo unit sale.

“ShoreStation has proven to be the industry’s leading hydraulic lift on Okanagan Lake for residential and commercial use. It has many unique benefits, as the cylinders are above water, pile-mounted, safe and secure. These lifts are extremely durable and withstand boat impact, wind and wave action,” said Brittney Jones of Shoreline Pile Driving.

Phase I of the Manteo Resort marina project consisted of installing 100 new slips, including the 54 ShoreStation DC-powered hydraulic lifts. Phase II will add another 34 slips.

Marina owners gain a competitive advantage by installing ShoreStation hydraulic lifts at their facilities. Keeping boats out of the water minimizes routine vessel cleaning for customers, and eliminates sinking risks that can occur with in-water mooring.

ShoreStation lifts can be installed low to the waterline, to maintain a clean view on the dock. These systems are great for winter storage as well, freeing up dry stack racks. Such upgrades enable the marina to increase slip fees and add revenue.

Winner of a 2014 NMMA Product Innovation Award, ShoreStation hydraulic lifts are the fastest on the market, pulling 96″ of cable per minute. Their hydraulic cylinder design is inherently more reliable than wound cables, and much quicker than electric power winches. A patented tandem pump system automatically levels the boat for simple operation.

ShoreStation Hydraulic Boat Lifts are powered by safe and reliable 24V DC, and the system can continue to operate for multiple lifts if the AC on the dock circuit goes out. Each lift comes with a best-in-class, 15-year warranty, including cables.
