MMT LEVEL ONE OPEN FOR REGISTRATION

Glen Spartz

June 6, 2016

The next Level One intake of the Marine Mechanical Technician Apprenticeship program at BCIT starts on October 10th. We are continually reminded of a shortage of qualified technicians in our industry and strongly encourage everyone to support this program; the MMT program was ten years in development and it’s now up to us to keep it going. If each intake is not well attended, there is a real concern the program will not be sustained moving forward. Details about the program can be found on BCIT’s website: www.bcit.ca/marinemechanic.

To support the effort to fill the technician gap, Boating BC launched the Glenn Spartz  Scholarship last month. The scholarship provides financial aid to individuals enrolled in the MMT program and we are currently accepting applications for the upcoming Level One and Level Two intakes.
