SUMMER SAILSTICE AND AMERICAN SAILING ASSOCIATION PARTNER TO BRING SAILING TO THE WORLD

Jeanneau Sailstice American Sailing Association

May 22, 2018

Summer Sailstice has partnered with American Sailing Association (ASA) to invite all ASA schools around the world to join the annual celebration of sailing. By participating in the Summer Sailstice-ASA promotion sailing schools will be collaborating to grow both sailing and their schools by bringing increased exposure to sailing education, accessibility and enjoyment.

“With 350 schools spread across the globe it’s a challenge to unite in a common promotion. The Summer Sailstice celebration gives us an ideal moment to connect all ASA schools in a global promotion for sailing,” says Lenny Shabes, “ideally we’ll see every boat in every fleet off the docks, with sails hoisted and out sailing on the first weekend of summer.”

Each participating ASA school is hosting an event for Summer Sailstice which this year fall on the weekend of June 23rd.

Among the first schools to participate in the joint Summer Sailstice-ASA promotion are Tortola Sailing & Sights in Nanny Cay, BVI and SOUL Sailing in New York with several more schools currently in the process of signing up for the June celebrations.

Events hosted by Sailing schools typically include introductory sailing sessions such as the ‘Free Try Sailing Taster Sessions in the IC24’ offered by Tortola Sailing & Sights, and SOUL Sailing’s ‘Free 90-Minute Introductory Sails’.
