BENETEAU’S NEW FIRST RANGE LINE REVEALED

Beneteau First Range

Oct 9th, 2018

Introduced in Newport, RI for the first time this past September, the new Beneteau First Range revealed two out of four boats: the First 18 and First 24. Sharing the same concept, the First 18 and First 24 are rethinking the inshore sport day-cruiser. The robust wide hull, supported by the weight of the keel, provides exceptional stability, allowing sailors to experience effortless sailing combined with the highest safety levels. With a twin rudder system, you are always in control, and as an additional safety guarantee, there are in-submersible volumes located in the cabin and cockpit. A watertight mast and neoprene cabin cover is proven to keep the cabin dry.

Easy transportation by road is a major key feature. An A-frame system allows the sailor to step the mast without a crane and launch from a ramp. The performance-oriented hull allows for fast planing even in light wind conditions.

Designed with a simple deck plan and strong hull stability, the First 18 and First 24 bring a whole new world of freedom to explore the sea, with room for up to four crew members on board.

Currently, the First Range includes four models—the First 14, First 18, First 24, and First 27. While retaining its sailing DNA, Beneteau is always at the forefront of innovation, and responds to the needs of its clients to foster customer loyalty. The brand fulfills its commitment by offering the most competitive and attractive performance cruisers to the sailing world.
Beneteau’s classic First models are still active in the international sailing community, and they appear frequently at regattas across North America.

The First 18 and First 24 will be at the United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis, from October 4th – 8th, 2018. Boating Industry Canada and Canadian Yachting will be attending the show, and will be following up on the reveal of the second two boats.
