Continuing its celebration of 60 years of remarkably crafted boats, Sea Ray enjoyed an unprecedented and rewarding event experience at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 14–18. Sea Ray and its dealers saw a significant increase in sales compared to MIBS 2018, and a very positive response to Sea Ray’s new brand direction.

At the show, Sea Ray unveiled a limited-edition SLX-R 350 Outboard during an exclusive and immersive experience, launched the all-new SLX 350 and premiered the SLX 400 with triple 400-horsepower Mercury Verado engine option.  The all-new SLX 350 is available in either sterndrive or outboard configurations.

“As one of the world’s premier boat shows, the Miami International Boat Show was the ideal venue to unveil the first-of-its-kind SLX-R package and officially introduce the new SLX 350 on a global scale,” said Brad Anderson, Sea Ray president and general manager.  “Sea Ray established the large day-boat category with the introduction of our original SLX 350, and received an overwhelmingly positive response to the newest SLX and larger day-boat models, as evidenced by sales at the show. Attendees and members of the media who visited Sea Ray were impressed with the new models, design upgrades, cutting-edge innovations and Sea Ray’s introduction of our new brand direction.”

As part of Sea Ray’s display, Sea Ray Connect, powered by NAUTIC-ON™, demonstrated Sea Ray’s smart boating innovations and leading-edge technologies. Attendees could interact with representatives and view Sea Ray Connect systems installed on several models.  Attendees were also able to experience the SLX-R 350 Outboard in Virtual Reality, courtesy of Brunswick’s Joint Explorations in Technology joint venture investment with the University of Illinois.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
