PIGTAIL ADAPTERS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR TRAVELING BOATERS

Pigtail Adapters

Dec 1, 2020

Safety-minded owners whose boats have a 30A SmartPlug installed often don’t know what kind of marina pedestal connection they’ll find when they travel. For them, SmartPlug Systems Pigtail Adapters are essential equipment. Available in multiple configurations, they provide peace-of-mind that the vessel is protected from shore power-related electrical issues, no matter where they tie up.

The revolutionary SmartPlug replaces outdated, twist-type power connectors. It offers 27 times the metal-to-metal contact, providing greater protection against resistance and overheating—the leading causes of power failure and boat fires.

Weather-resistant seals on the Pigtail Adapters ensure there is no water ingress, no matter the weather. Plus, with an asymmetrical shape and multi-point locking system on the SmartPlug side, they’re easy to connect, even one-handed.

SmartPlug’s C15043 Pigtail Adapter joins a SmartPlug boat-side connector with a 115VAC three prong connector for plugging into traditional electrical outlets. The C30043 model pairs a 30A SmartPlug female boat-side connector to a 30A male twist-type plug. The devices are also available in various 15A and 50A combinations, including stepping up or down to 30A. Prices start at $153 USD.
