The 2021 Boating Ontario Golf Tournament was again, a huge success. This year it was held at Bonaire Golf Club in Coldwater, Ontario on Tuesday August 31st.

“We were overwhelmed with the eager response of members who wanted to join us for a day of networking and fun,” said Rick Layzell. After only two and a half weeks of registration opening, the tournament of 144 golfers was completely sold out. The day included a shot gun start at 1pm, 18 holes of golf and a delicious steak dinner. After dinner golfers were awarded for the most honest, best of the bunch, and even for the goofiest picture.

This year’s golf tournament was timed perfectly as the boating season is winding down and we are all looking for a day to relax and reconnect with our peers in the marine industry. We owe a huge thank you to all our sponsors, everyone who joined us for the day, and all our members for their continued support.

Boating Ontario is now planning for the annual conference to be held at the Sheraton on the Falls hotel in Niagara Falls from November 31st to December 2nd of 2021. “We look forward to welcoming you to a conference that offers learning opportunities and education specifically geared for customer retention, as well as unique networking opportunities for all Boating Ontario members,” said Rick Layzell.

An anchoring system has two parts: the anchor itself and the rode which connects the anchor to the boat. To be effective, an anchor must have good holding power, and the rode must be strong enough to withstand the strains that are put on it.
