12V OEM defogger outperforms all others

12v OEM Defogger

Oct 10, 2022

Co-designed by Caframo and Groupe Beneteau, the SEEKR by Caframo OEM Defogger makes moisture-obscured windshields a thing of the past. The CE- and ABYC-certified heater fan is engineered and built to the high standards that both companies are renowned for. Now in use on Jeanneau’s Merry Fisher line of multipurpose powerboats, the device was to have been introduced at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, IBEX 2022.

Unlike competing products, the two-speed OEM Defogger provides a full 400 watts of finned positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heating power. Yet with all this performance, it consumes a mere 37.5–39.5 amps. It can clear a 2sqm windshield in under five minutes and will automatically shut off after five minutes. An integrated safety thermostat provides peace of mind.

The ultra-reliable OEM Defogger 12V DC brushless motor is quiet and long-lived. Its durable black polymer housing has an industry-standard 55mm connector to be compatible with multiple vent and ductwork arrangements. It measures 15.3cm D x 24.6cm W x 36.1cm H and weighs 6.5kg. The SEEKR by Caframo OEM Defogger (model 9601) is made in Canada.
