New grab rail fits in challenging spaces

Schmitt Marine Grab Rail

Nov 28, 2022

Companionways, swim platforms and other tight onboard spaces can be challenging places for OEMs to fit a grab rail. The new 7″ Stainless Steel Grab Rail from Schmitt Marine was designed to accommodate various installation locations. Available in Top- or Under-Mount styles, it provides boatbuilders the flexibility to easily add an important piece of hardware to any boat. The accessory was introduced at METSTRADE this November.

The striking 7″ Stainless Steel Grab Rail is cast using marine-grade 316 stainless steel. Polished to a high shine and with a pleasing shape, it enhances boat décors from classic to ultra-modern. Complementing surrounding stainless-steel fittings, it can also be used as a matching drawer pull handle. The hardware has finger indentations for safe and easy grasping and an impressively solid feel, yet comfortably fits a wide range of hand sizes.

Under-mounting Schmitt Marine’s 7″ Stainless Steel Grab Rail requires two 1/4″–20 screws. The top-mount version needs two #14 screws. They’re backed by a lifetime warranty.
