New MPro amplifier has the power

MPro Amplifier

High-end marine speakers have evolved to handle more sound for an enhanced listening experience. Yet all those decibels are wasted unless the system’s amplifier can properly handle the load. The new MPro-A1006 Six-Channel Class D marine amplifier from ProSpec Electronics is robustly engineered for today’s high SPL speakers, without the typically robust price tag attached to such top-tier power solutions.

Boasting diverse configuration options and components designed for the marine environment, the MPro-A1006 amplifier is rated at 100W RMS per channel @ 4 ohms (160 @ 2 ohms.) Any two of its six channels may be bridged to create a 5-, 4- or 3-channel amplifier fitting a range of audio systems, including driving a subwoofer.

MPro AmplifierThe MPro-A1006 comes with 3 weatherproof pigtail speaker connectors that not only simplify installation, but offer superior quality to screw-down versions that can fray and loosen over time. Differential inputs help reduce and repel unwanted hums or noise that can occur in the system.

Because no one wants the audio catastrophe of blown speakers, the MPro’s clipping LED feature enables easy visible matching of the amplifier to the source unit signal level. This sophisticated amplifier from ProSpec Electronics even comes with an audible low-voltage warning, so an evening party on the sandbar doesn’t turn into a midnight towboat call.

The amplifier measures 12-1/2″ L x 7-11/16″ W x 2-1/8″ H and weighs 6.65 lbs. A video and more information are at www.mpromarine.com.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
