The Quadrant Marine Institute announces that Marine Service Excellence Month is well underway!

Marine Service Excellence Month

May 14, 2024

The month of May is Marine Service Excellency Month! All through this month the Quadrant Marine Institute will be celebrating the work of our employer partners, training programs, and community of Marine Service Technicians.

To kick us off we want to start by highlighting two organizations other than Quadrant delivering our MST program, The Nova Scotia Boatbuilders Association, and The Whatcom Working Waterfront Foundation. Respectively these two great operations are delivering training towards Marine Service Excellence in Atlantic Canada & the United States.

In the Maritimes, the Nova Scotia Boat Builders Association (NSBA) is bringing the same high standard of Marine Excellence to the technicians servicing the vital and vibrant marine industry of the east coast. Additionally, the NSBA shares “a common vision of growing and diversifying the industry beyond its original domestic fishing boat market.”

South of the boarder, Whatcom County’s Northwest Maritime Apprenticeship has recently received “Permanent Status” by the Washington State Apprenticeship & Training Council. This means that official long-term certification is now a fixture of an area where 7% of the region’s workforce is employed in the marine sector.

Being dedicated to Marine Service Excellence, Quadrant Marine Institute strives to deliver world class training to our apprentices, and we’re incredibly proud that our Marine Service Technician program is being delivered on distant shores. Happy Marine Service Excellency Month, we look forward to celebrating with you all!

This is a 29-foot 11-inch luxury day boat with a 9- foot 2-inch beam and it features a fabulous expansive flat floor all the way from the bow rider area to the transom and the swim platform.
