We’re very excited to announce the return of Quadrant Marine’s Pre-Employment Program (PEP) in Vancouver this Summer. After a successful cohort last year, and one just bundled up in Sidney from the Spring, we’re pleased to continue the necessary work in growing our terrific community.

Since the return of PEP last year we’ve learned a lot, both from program participants, and our employer partners who make this possible. With the foundational elements of employment readiness, skills training, & employment placements revamped, this summer’s cohort will be diving into the waters of Marine Service on July 8th.

Upon completing the program, participants will walk away with a practical understanding of the work of a Marine Service Technician. They will gain certificates in valuable base skills such as First Aid and Fall Protection. And the professional skills to enter the Marine workforce.

As it is Marine Service Excellence month, it is also important for us celebrate the select group from last year’s PEP program who recently finished their Level 1 Marine Service Technician Apprenticeship. Each of those students stared their journey in this industry less than a year ago, and have since become valued members of their respective teams. – Congratulations to you all – It’s our most sincere hope that stories like that become more common, and the Marine Service Community we have here on the West Coast continues to flourish.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
