New touch-capable courtesy light also networks

Touch Capsule Courtesy Light

Oct 22, 2024

The new CLS Courtesy Light from Shadow-Caster upends how people think about onboard LED lighting. With its elegant backlit touch sensor, it’s easy to turn it on and off and adjust the brightness with the stroke of a fingertip. Plus, the fixture easily networks with any Shadow-Caster Light Commander Series controller, making it remotely adjustable — a real plus when descending steps into a dark cabin while underway.

Shadow-Caster’s CLS Courtesy Light is offered in a cool white version that’s perfect for general illumination and full RGBW for unlimited accent colors. It has up to 400 lumens of 160° diffuse white LED light with minimal glare which lets it double as a task light for larger areas. A two-second ramp-up feature provides refined startup.

The CLS Courtesy Light has a 4.25″ x 2″ 316 stainless steel cover with hidden mounting hardware for a clean and modern aesthetic. IP67-rated, the fixture is ideal for interior and certain exterior locations.

Shadow-NET enabled, the CLS Courtesy Light is simple to connect to Shadow-Caster’s Shadow-Net BUS. This allows the fixture to integrate with other communication protocols such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi to be individually addressed for controlling the light’s color and intensity.

Running on 12V DC, the light draws a maximum 300mA.
