Mercury Racing launches new Altitude Propeller at 2025 Miami International Boat Show

Mercury Racing

Feb 25, 2025

Mercury Racing, a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin based global provider of high-performance marine propulsion, has announced the launch of its new Altitude propeller line during the opening of the Miami International Boat Show. Altitude propellers are designed for outboard-powered hulls that benefit from a thru-hub exhaust propeller, for those who are seeking ultimate top-end speed on 90+ mph applications without sacrificing low speed manoeuverability and planing performance.

Altitude is fully CNC-machined propeller utilizing the same proprietary 5-axis technology as the sterndrive and outboard solid hub CNC Cleavers.

“The Altitude allows us to provide our high-performance customers with a new propeller option designed specifically for high speeds,” said Jeff Broman, Mercury Racing general manager. “While the Altitude is ideal for our newer outboards, it can also be an ideal addition to many of our legacy propulsion options.”

Altitude offers another step of customization with an industry-first modular barrel design for dialing in stern lift. Four different barrel lengths are available for custom order in 0”, 1”, 2”, and 3” options. All Altitude propellers are 5-blade and feature broached splines for either 1.25” (250-450hp) or 1.50” (500hp) prop shafts. Available in 18-degree rake from 26 to 28 pitch, and 15-degree rake from 30 to 35 pitch. All Altitude models are available in both right-hand and left-hand rotation.

The Propeller Case will ship standard with all Altitude propeller purchases and is available to purchase at Mercury Racing dealers. The Altitude will be available for sale beginning March 1.
