Are Your Customers Still Using Zincs?

October 14, 2025

Incorrect or low-quality anodes can leave boats exposed — and customers frustrated. Help them make the smarter, safer choice.

Aluminum anodes are gaining traction. They weigh less, have better efficiency, and offer zinc-less or cadmium-free protection in both salt and brackish water.

A recent International Boat Industry Magazine article urges marinas to lead the shift from toxic zinc anodes to safer, longer-lasting aluminum alternatives before regulations make the change mandatory.

“As an industry, we have to let people know there are alternatives to zinc that are safer to use, that work better and cost less” (Michael Szwez, CMP Group).

Service Tip: Aluminum delivers 3.5× the efficiency per pound vs. zinc – and customers are asking for it.
✔️ Better protection
✔️ Cleaner water
✔️ Higher margins

Be the expert your customers trust this fall.
