World’s Only All-Electric Wake Boat Makes Canadian Debut at Vancouver International Boat Show

January 20, 2026

A ground-breaking electric wake boat made its Canadian boat show debut last week at the Vancouver International Boat Show at Vancouver Convention Centre West.

The Arc Sport is the world’s only 100 per cent electric powered wake boat and it was on display, giving show attendees a first-hand look at the technology that’s redefining wake boating. EV Marine Canada, the exclusive Western Canadian dealer, introduced the boat to the local market, and they plan to bring an initial 15 units to the region prior to May 2026.

“This is more than a boat, it’s a piece of technology that just happens to throw an incredible wave,” said Erik Anderson, CEO of EV Marine Canada. “There hasn’t been anything truly new in wake boating for a long time, and the Arc Sport feels like a real shift for the industry. We knew right away it was something we had to bring to Canada.”

As an all-electric vessel, the Arc Sport delivers zero emissions, significantly reduced noise, and lower day-to-day operating costs compared to traditional gas-powered wake boats. Its 2,300-pound battery sits low and aft in the hull, naturally enhancing wave performance, a feature that has drawn worldwide attention from both experienced wake surfers and newcomers alike.

Measuring 23 feet in length with capacity for up to 15 people, the Arc Sport combines performance with versatility. Anderson said the boat easily handled multiple long wake sessions on a single charge and can also operate for extended low-speed cruising hours, making it appealing beyond hardcore wakesports enthusiasts. The boat can be recharged using existing fast-charging infrastructure and owners can also install their own Level 2 charging system, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative to refuelling.

Three-time world champion wake surfer and BC native Lily Anderson says the all-electric Arc Sport is a major leap forward for the sport.

“This boat completely changes the game,” said Anderson. “It’s quiet, low-maintenance, and incredibly simple to own, which saves people so much time and money. On top of that, the wave is dialed for surfers of all levels, so you can just focus on riding instead of worrying about the boat.”

Western Canada’s largest consumer boating event, the Vancouver International Boat Show is owned by the Boating BC Association.
