Quadrant Marine Institute is looking for the right career-minded person to join our core Marine Service training team at our head office in Sidney, BC. This dynamic leadership position will support our team of instructors, apprentices, and employer partners across BC’s small craft/recreational marine service industry.

Overview of Roles & Responsibilities:

As a member of the core team, the Lead Instructor will help plan the growth and continuous improvement of Quadrant’s training program:

              • Oversee delivery of all technical training classes & workshops for youth pre-employment and apprenticeship programs

              • Assist the Managing Director and Program Manager in hiring and onboarding new instructors

              • Lead and support Training Coordinators and instructional team

              • Review and update technical content in current training materials

              • Review training annual calendars, schedules, and budgets

              • Source, build, and maintain instructor training supports and workshop equipment

              • Develop and organize professional development requirements for instructors

              • Design and develop new courses and plan training initiatives in line with Quadrant’s strategic plan

              • Delivery foundational technical training content and specialized content that aligns with expertise The Lead Instructor is a full-time position reporting to the Managing Director. Travel & training within BC (mostly Vancouver Island and the lower mainland) will be required.
