Lund Boats Introduces New 2027 HG Pro Series, Combining Hardtop Protection with Big-Water Capability

October 20, 2026

All-new 220 HG Pro and 240 HG Pro models deliver rugged heavy-gauge construction, enclosed hardtop comfort and serious fishing functionality for demanding open-water anglers.

Lund Boats has unveiled the all-new Model Year 2027 HG Pro Series, a purpose-built heavy-gauge aluminum platform designed for anglers who pursue big-water fisheries in changing conditions. Available in 22-foot and 24-foot configurations, the new HG Pro combines proven durability, hardtop protection, extended fuel capacity and tournament-ready fishability to help anglers stay on the water longer and fish with confidence in demanding environments.

The HG Pro expands Lund’s heavy-gauge lineup with a larger platform engineered for long runs, rough waters and unpredictable weather. At the center of the design is a Pro hardtop cabin that provides protection from wind, rain and cold conditions, with an available Alaskan bulkhead and door creating a fully enclosed cabin experience for shoulder-season fishing and northern climates.

Designed around owner-focused functionality, the HG Pro features wood-free construction, a .250-inch hull and transom, extensive cockpit and gear storage, Lund-specific helm and fishing layouts, and a 52-inch insulated recirculating livewell with pump-out capability. A 100-gallon fuel tank further extends range, allowing anglers to confidently reach distant fishing grounds without sacrificing comfort or capability.

An available auxiliary steering station provides additional flexibility while trolling, docking or maneuvering in challenging conditions. Despite its size and capability, the HG Pro remains trailer able without special permits, making it easier for owners to explore destinations across North America.

“Lund’s heavy gauge lineup represents an important expansion for anglers who fish some of the largest and most challenging waters in North America.” said Brian Hines, President of Lund Boats, “The HG Pro is designed to deliver the protection, durability and fishability these anglers need, while staying true to the quality, craftsmanship and ownership experience people expect from Lund. The result is a boat that helps anglers stay comfortable and focused, making the most of every moment on the water.”

Good Advice that You Can Share – The Art of Anchoring

Unless a boat is secured, it will drift away. If it cannot be attached to something secure, such as a dock, piling, mooring buoy, tree, or boulder, it must be anchored. There is much more to anchoring than simply tossing the anchor over the side.

An anchoring system has two parts: the anchor itself and the rode which connects the anchor to the boat. To be effective, an anchor must have good holding power, and the rode must be strong enough to withstand the strains that are put on it.
