Maple Leaf MarinasMaple Leaf Marinas (MLM) is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of three full-service marinas located on Georgian Bay. Dave Rozycki, President of MLM, remarked that “Our Spring 2021 acquisitions of Payne Marine (Pointe au Baril), Moon River Marine (Mactier) and Georgian Shores Marina (Owen Sound) are perfect complements to our growing portfolio and will allow us to enhance our value proposition to our boaters on Georgian Bay through perks such as reciprocal docking and fuel discounts.”

Payne Marine, Pointe au Baril – Payne Marine is a 3rd generation family-owned marina located on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay in beautiful Pt. au Baril. Payne Marine is a full-service marina offering some 100 in-water slips, dry rack storage for 200 boats, and a busy parts and service department. Payne Marine is also a 5-star Yamaha Dealer and carries two premium boat lines in Scout Boats and Hunt Yachts. We are thrilled to have retained the existing team including our experienced Service Manager, Tom Reid, and are pleased to announce the hiring of Andreas Koch as the new General Manager who will report to MLM Regional Manager, Steve Tait. Andreas is a long-time boater and cottager on Georgian Bay with many years of experience in the marina and hospitality industry.

Georgian Shores Marina, Owen Sound – Georgian Shores has been a fixture of the Owen Sound community since opening in the early 1950’s, and is a gateway to some of the best boating and fishing on NW Georgian Bay. Georgian Shores is one of the few full-service marinas in the area offering dockage for some 300 boats as well as parts, chandlery, fuel, storage and a first-class boaters lounge. We’re excited to announce the hiring of local boater and entrepreneur Ken Johns as our new General Manager, who will lead the existing team including our well-regarded Office Manager, Wendy Ross.

Moon River Marine, Mactier – Moon River Marine has been operating since 1974 as a gateway to Georgian Bay. Moon River is full-service marina offering over 150 in-water slips along with storage for over 450 boats. Moon River’s service department is an authorized Yamaha and MerCruiser service centre with certified technicians who also provide servicing for all other makes and models. Stop in at the marina store for ice, fuel, ice cream and all of your daily marine needs. We’re pleased to announce the hiring of Wyatt Gray as our new General Manager who will lead the existing exceptional team of marine professionals, working with MLM Regional Manager, Steve Tait.

The MLM portfolio now consists of 11 operating Marinas with approx. 3,000 in-water slips, dry rack storage for over 1,500 boats, and almost 250,000sf. of indoor boat storage space.

Glomex TV

Televisions on a boat are increasingly commonplace. With the simple-to-install Glomex Avior VT300 Omnidirectional TV/FM antenna from GA Communications, it's never been easier to bring analog and digital broadcasts onboard—at a price that's hard to ignore.

The most noticeable feature of the Avior VT300 antenna is its compact white, anti-yellowing radome. At only 4" dia. x 8" H and 8.8 oz., it's specifically made for smaller boats that can't accommodate large TV antenna domes and only need short range reception, depending on height and conditions. The amplifier allows the antenna to have an increase in gain with a 24.5 dB average to receive vertical and horizontal polarized TV signals simultaneously from 360°.
