Level Up! Career Fairs Building Momentum Across Ontario

October 21, 2025

The Ontario government is celebrating record-breaking attendance as the Level Up! career fairs gain momentum across the province, connecting thousands of students, educators, and jobseekers to exciting, in-demand careers in the skilled trades.

Early stops on the 2025 tour have already drawn impressive crowds:

Grafton (Coburg)

  • Day 1: 670 students
  • Day 2: 574 students
  • Open House: 112 community members

Barrie

  • Day 1: 1,631 students
  • Day 2: 2,329 students
  • Open House: 453 attendees

Sudbury

  • Day 1: 2,081 students
  • Day 2: 2,934 students
  • Open House: 341 participants

With nearly 11,125 young students already attending just the first three locations, the Level Up! fairs are on track to surpass expectations and deliver on their promise to spark interest in the trades and build a resilient workforce for Ontario’s future.

“These career fairs are helping thousands of young people discover good-paying careers in the trades,” said David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. “Ontario’s greatest strength is our skilled, world-class workforce.”

As Ontario continues to confront workforce shortages, U.S. tariffs, and economic uncertainty, the Level Up! career fairs are playing a key role in building a strong, future-ready workforce.
