Business valuations are an important tool for owners and leaders of privately-held companies. For example, if you are doing sophisticated tax planning, buying-out a business partner, or if an owner is going through a marital divorce, then a valuation may be highly prudent—if not legally required.

Previous IMI webinars included a review of the challenges faced by marinas and boaters as ground-fault protection becomes a larger and larger part of the boating environment. It is bad enough when one has a problem, but far worse when no one can be found to locate and correct it.
We thought that this video from the Ohio Clean Marinas Program was valuable to share. It came to us at Boating Industry Canada from BoatUS and it shows how anyone can recycle their boat’s winter shrink wrap.
Marinas are recreational-based businesses that are subject to economic pressures. They are either located on a lake, a river or on land. They tend to be difficult to market because of potential environmental issues and the challenge of obtaining of financing (bank or VTB – vendor take-back).
ABYC is pleased to announce a new hands-on learning course designed for entry-level marine professionals, marine surveyors, service writers, sales/customer service representatives, and insurance personnel!

Compact Antenna Brings TV/FM Onboard
Televisions on a boat are increasingly commonplace. With the simple-to-install Glomex Avior VT300 Omnidirectional TV/FM antenna from GA Communications, it's never been easier to bring analog and digital broadcasts onboard—at a price that's hard to ignore.
The most noticeable feature of the Avior VT300 antenna is its compact white, anti-yellowing radome. At only 4" dia. x 8" H and 8.8 oz., it's specifically made for smaller boats that can't accommodate large TV antenna domes and only need short range reception, depending on height and conditions. The amplifier allows the antenna to have an increase in gain with a 24.5 dB average to receive vertical and horizontal polarized TV signals simultaneously from 360°.
