LUMISHORE RECEIVES DAME AWARD SPECIAL MENTION

Lumishore Dame Award Special Mention

Nov 27, 2018

Lumishore, manufacturer of high-performance LED lighting systems, has taken all its expertise in underwater lighting above the waterline with a new range of products designed for interior use. The recently introduced Smart Lighting by Lumishore, which is the world’s first and only DC marine smart lighting system, caught the attention of DAME judges, garnering a special mention in the Marine Electronics and Marine Related Software category at last week’s DAME awards. The judges were particularly impressed with the system’s ability to fine-tune color balance including white light and for its multifunction display-based user interface.

“We are honored to receive a special mention from the DAME judges at METS Trade 2018,” says Eifrion Evans, CEO of Lumishore. “I am very proud of our dedicated, world-leading team, and delighted that the DAME judges recognize the many revolutionary technical and software design features in our lighting systems.”

Lumishore’s new range of Smart Lighting products can be controlled from the boat’s MFD/smart device, including Lumishore underwater lights, marine-grade CRBGW downlights, mood lighting and marine-grade IP68 strip lights (accent lighting). In addition, a range of Smart Drivers will enable integration with third-party approved products such as name plates and speakers. As well as fully tunable cold and warm white light, they allow an infinite number of hues, customized to suit a particular mood or atmosphere, to enhance aesthetics and respond to multiple boating leisure and safety conditions. Lumishore is no longer creating just lights, it’s creating atmosphere too.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
