The Boating BC Conference brings together recreational boating industry professionals for two days each year to network, learn and share ideas so that they can better serve their customers.

Lisa Geddes, the executive director of Boating BC, and her staff along with the many volunteers on the executive and subcommittees have made have made this event a must for the recreational boating Industry in Western Canada and particularly in British Columbia.

Geddes is stepping down as director of boating BC in January and will be greatly missed by all members of boating BC. She has helped set in extremely high standard of excellence for our industry.

Boating industry Canada as a participant and sponsor of this event, we found some of the speaker’s presentations of particular interest. Cheryl Cran talked about the competition for attracting top talent. Cheryl told delegates how to map out a strategy and plan on how to attract top talent and retain them for longer periods.

Terry Small {the brain guy) discussed how you can use brain science to become a more effective leader he shared his techniques and introduce skills that will allow you to bring your leadership abilities to the very highest levels, and to attract talents and build effective teams.

The 2019 Boating BC conference was a fantastic success with record attendance, outstanding speakers and an incredible $13,150 raised to support trades training.
