25TH INTERNATIONAL BOATBUILDERS’ EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE EXPANDS EXHIBIT SPACE TO MEET DEMAND
The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), taking place September 15-17, 2015 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY, has announced that they have added additional exhibit space due in large part to the industry’s commitment to its 25th show and to meet current demand. The event will host over 500 exhibiting companies, of which 68 are currently new for 2015, with more being added each week.

RENTAL BOAT SAFETY BEST PRACTICES: YOUR COMMENTS WELCOME
Transport Canada has conducted a series of interviews with stakeholders who have an interest in advancing rental boat safety. The purpose of these interviews was to explore what rental agencies do to provide a safe, enjoyable rental experience to the public. Ten key themes emerged from the interviews and are summarized in the document Rental Boat Safety Best Practices (DRAFT) available for download here.

SPRING MAINTENANCE FOR TRENT-SEVERN WATERWAY BRIDGES
This Spring Parks Canada will be conducting spring maintenance at some of the swing bridges and sites along the Trent-Severn Waterway, in preparation for the 2015 navigation season. This includes preventative maintenance tasks like washing and greasing swing bridges, and conducting visual inspections to ensure their safe operability.

MONTE CARLO 6 TO DEBUT AT FT LAUDERDALE BOAT SHOW IN OCTOBER
Beneteau together with Monte Carlo Yachts is pleased to announce the North American premiere of the Monte Carlo 6 (MC6) at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, November 5-9. The new flagship of the Monte Carlo range debuted to large acclaim earlier this year in Europe at the indoor Dusseldorf boat show.

IBEX 2015 PRESENTS “FUTURE MATERIALS”-A NEW HANDS-ON EXHIBIT
One of the new feature areas being planned for The 25th International Boat Builders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) will focus on “Future Materials”, a new hands-on exhibit at the center of the Composites Pavilion. Curated by editors from Professional Boat Builder and Composites World magazines, this collection of new materials, processes, and technologies will be gathered from a wide variety of sources including marine, aerospace, and automotive industries, plus some applied academic research and development.

This new Travel Lift will be supplemented with a new Kropf-Conolift 60 Ton self propelled Travel Trailer this fall in time for Haul Out.
